In a historic triumph, the Enactus Münster team secured the national victory at the Enactus Germany National Cup 2025 in Berlin. This win not only earned them one of the most prestigious titles in student entrepreneurship but also qualified them for the Enactus World Cup 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand, the world championship for social entrepreneurial projects. The winning project, "Seads Solutions," aims to introduce a grain alternative from the ocean through the controlled cultivation of seagrass meadows.

In late June, 287 Bachelor's and 148 Master's students celebrated their graduation from the School of Business and Economics. Dean Professor Dr. Thomas Langer warmly congratulated the graduates, their families, and friends as they received their diplomas. AlumniUM honored the top three Bachelor's and Master's graduates from the School for their outstanding academic achievements. The festivities were organized by the School's Student Council.

287 Bachelor- und 148 Master-Studierende feierten Ende Juni ihren Abschluss an der Wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät. Ihre Zeugnisse erhielten sie von Dekan Prof. Dr. Thomas Langer, der die Absolvent:innen sowie ihre Familien und Freund:innen herzlich beglückwünschte. Wie jedes Semester ehrte AlumiUM zudem die drei besten Bachelor- und Masterabsolvent:innen der Fakultät für ihre herausragende studentische Leistung. Organisiert wurden die Feierlichkeiten von der Fachschaft Wirtschaftswissenschaften.

Start-ups in the field of renewable energies are seen as a key driver of the energy transition. In 2024, 1.2 billion euros in venture capital was invested in German energy start-ups, more than in any other technology field. But which factors determine the success of entrepreneurial initiatives in this field, what hurdles do they encounter and how can investments be translated into a measurable climate impact. Professor Dr. David Bendig and Linda Brüss, Head of Chair and Research Associate at the University of Münster's Institute for Entrepreneurship, investigated these questions together with Dr. Florian Degen, Head of Strategy and Business Development at Fraunhofer FFB.

Doch welche Faktoren bestimmen den Erfolg unternehmerischer Initiativen in diesem Bereich, auf welche Hürden stoßen sie und wie lassen sich Investitionen gezielt in messbare Klimawirkung übersetzen? Das haben Prof. Dr. David Bendig und Linda Brüss, Leiter und wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin des Instituts für Entrepreneurship der Universität Münster, gemeinsam mit Dr. Florian Degen, Bereichsleiter für Strategie- und Unternehmensentwicklung an der Fraunhofer FFB, untersucht. 

Das Wissenschaftsfestival „SchlauRaum“ hat Münster Anfang Juli in einen lebendigen Campus verwandelt. Unter dem Motto „Wieso? Weshalb? Gesund?“ rückte die Großveranstaltung das Thema Gesundheit in den Fokus. Auch die Wirtschaftswissenschaftliche Fakultät war dabei: Prof. Dr. Vitali Gretschko, Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Nachhaltiges Marktdesign, hielt im voll besetzten Open-Air-Hörsaal einen Vortrag zur Fragestellung "Würden Sie Ihre Niere bei eBay versteigern?". Johannes Ponge vom Lehrstuhl für Wirtschaftsinformatik und Logistik zeigte im Pavillon „One Health“ Simulationen zu Krankheitsausbrüchen.

The “SchlauRaum” science festival transformed Münster into a lively campus at the beginning of July. Under the motto "Why? How? Healthy?", the major event focused on the topic of health. The School of Business and Economics also participated: Prof. Dr. Vitali Gretschko, holder of the Chair of Sustainable Market Design, gave a lecture on the question “Would you auction your kidney on eBay?” in the packed open-air lecture hall. Johannes Ponge from the Chair of Information Systems and Logistics presented simulations of disease outbreaks in the “One Health” pavilion.
